The Fashion Tourist

Hellooo! Desde hace unos días quería contarles una gran noticia y al fin puedo decirlo! 

La semana pasada empecé mis prácticas!! Estoy trabajando en una agencia de comunicación que se llama The Apartment y que se concentra en dos campos: living (hoteles, restaurantes, viajes, decoración) y moda. Yo tengo la enorme suerte de trabajar en la parte de moda con un equipo genial, apenas llevo dos semanas ahí y ya me encanta!

Hellooo! I have been wanting to tell you big news for a few days now and I can finally say it! I started my internship last week!! I’m working at a communication agency called The Apartment who works in two fields: living (hotels, restaurants, tourism, decoration…) and fashion. I have the huge privilige of working in the fashion part with a great team, I’ve barely been there two weeks and I already love it!

Estas dos semanas estuvimos trabajando mucho para organizar un evento con el diseñador Eduardo Rivera: The Fashion Tourist. El evento, que fue hoy, consistía en hacer un tour por Madrid y visitar las tres tiendas que tiene Eduardo en la capital. Todo giraba alrededor del turismo: fuimos en un bus vintage estilo londinense de dos pisos, tuvimos un guía súper divertido de la joven compañía de teatro y a los invitados se les entregó un pasaporte que se selló en cada tienda.

These past two weeks we were working very hard organizing an event with the fashion designer Eduardo Rivera: The Fashion Tourist. The event, which took place today, consisted of touring around Madrid and visiting the three stores Eduardo has. Everything revolved around tourism: we took a vintage London style bus with two floors, we had a super fun guide from joven compañía de teatro and our guests were given a Passport that was stamped at every stop.

La primera parada fue la tienda que tienen Eduardo y su madre Elisa Rivera en San Agustín de Guadalix. Es la flagship store de Eduardo y también tiene ahí su despacho y su taller. Y no es flaghship por nada, la tienda es gigante! Cuatro pisos llenos de moda, moda y moda. Ahí nuestros invitados pudieron conocer a Eduardo y Elisa para saber un poco más sobre la marca y tomar un delicioso desayuno con unos cupcakes customizados que estaban igual de bonitos que de buenos, de Cream Bakery.

The first stop was Eduardo and his mother Elisa’s store in San Agustín de Guadaliz. It’s their flagship store and it houses his office and his atelier. And it’s not the flagship store for no reason, it’s huge!! Four floors filled with fashion, fashion and more fashion. Our guests got the chance to meet Eduardo and Elisa to learn more about the Brand and we had a delicious breakfast with custom-made cupcakes that were as good as they looked, thanks to Cream Bakery.

Volvimos al bus y partimos dirección calle Clavel. Había tanto tráfico en Madrid que estuvimos más de una hora en el bus...y no me quejo! Conocí a personas muy interesantes del mundo de la moda y nos asoleamos como lagartos! En la tienda de la Calle Clavel, a unos pasos de la gran vía, vimos la colección de mujer y nos tomamos un bien merecido gintonic preparado y aromatizado por Carmencita.

We went back to the bus and left to Clavel Street. There was so much traffic in Madrid that we spent more tan one hour on the bus…and I’m not complaining! I got the chance to meet very interesting people from the fashion world and we sunbathed like aligators! At the Clavel Street store, a few steps from Gran Vía, we saw the women’s collection and had a very well deserved gin and tonic prepared and flavoured by Carmencita.

Lastimosamente y a causa del tráfico se nos hizo muy tarde y no pudimos ir a la tercera tienda, en la Plaza del Ángel. Pero me queda como visita pendiente y seguro iré a visitarla muy pronto. La parte menos divertida vino después, cuando tuvimos que ir directo a la oficina para hacer el follow up con la prensa. Pero fue un día genial, me encantó! :)

No se pierdan mis próximos posts porque iré contándoles mis aventuras y experiencias en The Apartment. Y estoy segura que no serán pocas!!

Sadly and because there was so much traffic, it got late and we couldn’t go to the store located at Plaza de Ángel. But it’s definitely on my to-do list and I’m sure I’ll visit it very soon. The less fun part came afterwards when we had to go straight back to the office and do all the press follow up. But it was a great day, I loved it! :)
